I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for reintroducing the resolution that aims to get justice for Tamils who continue to be oppressed even after 14 years since end of conflict in Sri Lanka. I appreciate you emphasizing in the resolution that accountability for serious human rights crimes can only be fostered by referring Sri Lanka to the International Criminal Court and bringing justice to the victims.
I am certain that a permanent political solution is essential for the Tamils of Sri Lanka to have a better future. The democratic mechanism of holding a referendum in Tamil Eelam, the Tamils' traditional homeland, ensures their "real" freedom. I would like to thank you for your continuous support for the Tamils’ demand for justice and accountability.
