கொரோனா பெருந்தொற்றின் இரண்டாவது அலை நாடு முழுவதும் வேகமாகப் பரவி வரும் இச்சூழலில் நம்மை நாமே தற்காத்துகொள்ள வேண்டியது மிகவும் அவசியமாகிறது.
கடந்த முறை கொரோனா நோய்த்தொற்றுப் பரவியபோது மக்கள் பெரும் பொறுப்புணர்வுடன் , முழு ஒத்துழைப்பு நல்கிய காரணத்தினாலேயே நாம் கொரோனோ பெருந்தொற்றினை ஓரளவுக்குச் சமாளிக்க முடிந்தது. ஆனால், அதையும் மீறி உயிரிழப்புகளைச் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தது ஒரு கெடுவாய்ப்பாகும். எனவே, அத்தகைய இழப்புகள் மீண்டும் ஏற்படாமலிருக்கத் தனிநபர் இடைவெளியைப் பின்பற்றுதல், முகக்கவசம், கையுறை பயன்படுத்துதல் போன்றவை இன்றியமையாத தேவையாகும். மேலும், அடிக்கடி கைகளைக் கழுவுவதோடு, அத்தியாவசியமற்ற பயணங்களைத் தவிர்த்திடல் வேண்டும். மேலும், கொரோனோ அறிகுறிகள் தென்பட்டால் உரிய மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனைகள் செய்துகொள்வதோடு தம்மைத் தாமே தனிமைப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளவும் முன்வர வேண்டும். நோய் எதிர்ப்பு ஆற்றலுடைய உணவுப்பொருட்களை மிகுதியாக உணவில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். மிளகு, இஞ்சி, கீரை வகைகள் போன்றவற்றை அதிகப்படியாக உணவில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். காய்ச்சி வடிகட்டிய வெந்நீரைப் பருக வேண்டும். நீராவிப் பிடித்தலை செய்ய முன்வர வேண்டும். இப்பேரிடர் காலத்தில் மக்கள் தாங்களே தங்களைக் காத்துக் கொள்வதற்கும், நோய் அண்டாது, பரவாது மட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்கும் இதனைச் செய்ய வேண்டியது ஒவ்வொருவரின் பெருங்கடமையாகிறது.
நடைப்பெற்று முடிந்த தமிழகச் சட்டமன்றத்தேர்தல் பரப்புரையின்போது மக்கள் முகக்கவசம் அணியாமல் எவ்விதக் கட்டுப்பாடுமின்றி நடந்துகொண்டதை கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தேன். பலமுறை எச்சரித்தும், வலியுறுத்தியும்கூட மக்கள் அலட்சியப்போக்கோடு நடந்து கொண்டதும், என்னுடன் தன்படம் எடுக்கவும் கை குலுக்கவும் காட்டிய ஆர்வத்தைப் பெருந்தொற்று முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளில் காட்டாதது பெரும் மனக்கவலையைத் தந்தது.
ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் மக்கள் பேரிடரால் பாதிக்கப்படும்போதும் நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி பிள்ளைகள் முதல் ஆளாக ஓடோடிச் சென்று உதவுவார்கள் என்று மக்களே சொல்லும் அளவுக்குக் கடந்த காலங்களில் களப்பணிகள் செய்தோம். தற்போது மீண்டும் கொரோனா பெருந்தொற்று வேகமாகப் பரவி மக்களை அச்சுறுத்தி வரும் நிலையில், நோய் எதிர்ப்பு ஆற்றலை அதிகரிக்கும் வகையில் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் மக்களுக்குக் கபசுரக்குடிநீர், நிலவேம்புக் குடிநீர் போன்றவற்றைக் கடந்த காலங்களில் வழங்கியது போல, முகக்கவசத்தை வழங்கி மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வுப் பரப்புரையை வீரியமாக ஏற்படுத்தியது போல இம்முறையும் அவற்றைச் செய்து மக்களுக்கு உதவத் தயாராக இருக்கிறோம்.
எல்லா ஊர்களிலும் கபசுரக் குடிநீர், நிலவேம்புக் குடிநீர் போன்றவற்றை மக்களுக்கு வழங்க தம்பி, தங்கைகள் முன்வர வேண்டும். தனிநபர் இடைவெளி குறித்த போதிய விழிப்புணர்வை மக்களிடத்தில் ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும். மேலும், முகக்கவசம் உள்ளிட்டப் பாதுகாப்பு பொருள்களையும், ஊரடங்கால் தடுத்து வைக்கப்படும் இடங்களில் உணவு, குடிநீர் உள்ளிட்ட அத்தியாவசியப் பொருள்களையும் வழங்கி மக்களுக்கு உறுதுணையாக இருக்க வேண்டுமென எனதன்பு தம்பி, தங்கைகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன். அவ்வாறு கொடுக்கும்போது தம்பி, தங்கைகள் போதியப் பாதுகாப்பு உபகரணங்களை அணிந்து முழுதாகத் தங்களைத் தற்காத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் எனவும் அறிவுறுத்துகிறேன்.
கொரோனாவுக்கெதிரான இப்பெரும் போரில் அரசுக்கும் , தன்னார்வலர்களுக்கும் மக்கள் போதிய ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்கி , நோய்த்தடுப்பு விதிமுறைகளை முறையாகக் கடைப்பிடித்துக் கொரோனா நோய்த்தொற்றினை முற்றிலுமாக ஒழிக்கத் துணைநிற்க வேண்டும் என நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி சார்பாகக் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

Greetings to All of My Beloved People!
we must defend ourselves in this crisis situation where the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic is spreading rapidly across the country.
We were able to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic to a certain extent because of the people’s full cooperation and responsible behavior when the first wave of pandemic broke out. But beyond that, the casualties were unfortunate. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to:
> Practice social distancing,
> Wear mask, glove, etc.
> Wash your hands often and avoid unnecessary travels.
> Treat COVID-19 symptoms with appropriate medication and self-isolation.
> Include foods that boost the immune system in the diet in large quantities such as pepper, ginger, and spinach.
> Drink distilled hot water.
> Practice steam sauna.
It is everyone’s responsibility to follow the above to protect themselves and to prevent the spread of disease during this crisis situation.
I was shocked to see that people did not wear masks during the recent 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly election campaign. It was a matter of great concern that despite repeated warnings and insistence, people behaved indifferently and did show interest in taking selfies and shaking hands with me.
We have done several field works in the past to the extent that people say that whenever people are affected by a crisis, the cadres of the Naam Thamizhar Katchi will be the first to help. Now that the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading at a faster rate again and threatening the people, we are ready to help the people by providing them with masks, Kabasura Kudineer, and Nilavembu Kudineer, to boost their immunity, as we did in the past.
My beloved brothers and sisters should come forward to provide Kabasura Kudineer and Nilvavembu Kudineer to the people in all cities, towns, villages, and hamlets. Adequate awareness of social distancing should be spread among the people. I also urge my brothers and sisters to aid people by distributing safety gear, including masks, and essential items, including food and water, to the people located in the COVID-19 containment areas. In doing so, I advise brothers and sisters to follow COVID-19 precautionary measures and prevent them from being infected.
On behalf of the Naam Thamizhar Katchi, I call on the people to co-operate with the government and volunteers in this great war against COVID-19 and to support the complete eradication of this pandemic disease by strict adherence to preventive regulations.
