Thank You, Congressman Bill Johnson for Reintroducing Resolution Calling for Referendum!
I would like to thank you for partnering with Congresswoman Deborah Ross in reintroducing the resolution that aims to get justice for Tamils who continue to be oppressed even after 14 years since the end of the decades-long Sri Lankan war. I thank you for pointing out in the resolution that accountability for grave human rights violations can only be promoted by referring Sri Lanka to the International Criminal Court and providing justice to the victims.
I strongly believe that a permanent political solution is the key for the Tamils in Sri Lanka to have a better future. The democratic system of conducting a referendum in Tamil Eelam, the traditional homeland of the Tamils, holds their "real" freedom. Once again, I would like you to extend continued support to the Tamils demand for justice and accountability.
