It is shocking to learn about 12 Rajya Sabha parliamentarians, representing opposition parties have been suspended and refrained from participating in the winter session. The authoritarianism of the BJP government, which hastened to pass tyrannical laws in parliament, which does not subject it to any debate is highly condemnable.

It is a blow to the democratic framework and intends to paralyze the activities of MPs of the opposition parties and stifle their voices against the tyrannical actions of the BJP-led Union government. It is the height of arrogance and insolence, where the BJP uses the power exercised through the rule of law that is supposed to overthrow the monarchy rather than establish a system of governmental power against the people.

It is an act of extreme cruelty that undermines the great doctrine of freedom that has been fought for centuries, at the cost of huge bloodshed.
