Let the Long ‘Walk for Freedom’ Come up Victorious!
In order to draw the attention of the Government of Australia to the demand for granting citizenship to people of various nationalities, including Tamils, who have been living in Australia for several years, I extend my heartiest congratulations for the successful completion of the 650-km-long march embarked by 22 women from Melbourne to the capital, Canberra, and their demands being fulfilled.
Australia, the land that welcomes the Tamils who lost everything in the war for freedom, becomes one of the safe havens for Tamils. Australia has been providing appropriate wages and required amenities to all communities. The Tamil people will forever be grateful to Australia, another motherland for the Tamils.
I request the Government of Australia to wipe out their long sufferings by issuing permanent visas to not only Tamils but also other nationalities who are carrying the identity of refugees, thereby enabling them to live with dignity.
My revolutionary greetings go not only to the Tamils but also to all the dear sisters who have embarked on a long ‘Walk for Freedom’, to alleviate the sufferings of their community people.
