The news of the killing of tens of thousands of innocent people in Palestine by the Israeli army every day is a matter of great concern and distress. The holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast without even drinking water in remembrance of God, the sight of the bodies of small children and women and the elderly being scattered as slaughtered bodies is heartbreaking.
From among the ruins of a war-torn mosque, the cry for early morning prayers in the holy month of Ramadan brings tears of blood to his eyes. It also shows the world the unwavering morale of the people. What is the need to kill innocent Palestinians if it is a war between the Israeli army and Hamas? How is the world still watching Israel’s hunt down of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip? How do the so-called “Developed” countries allow such atrocities? How does the United Nations, which should stand for justice, tolerate this? How does a civilized human society peacefully go past this?
How did the world fail to prevent the atrocities where fellow humans were killed in the tens of thousands by Sinhala nationalist terrorists in Tamil Eelam? Just as the Tamil community faced annihilation, the horrors happening today in Palestine and Ukraine, where people are being left to die while the world watches, are an unbearable violation.
I urge the world countries, including India, to take immediate action to stop the heinous wars currently happening in Palestine and Ukraine.
