The Hindi movie ‘Jaat’ is highly condemnable for denigrating the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle and portraying the freedom fighters who fought for their motherland as terrorists.
In the storyline that takes place near Ayodhya in North India, it can never be allowed to set a narration as if the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle was wrong and its commanders were cruel villains by naming the militant group as ‘Jaffna Tiger Force (JTF)’ with no relation to the plot. It is evident that this film has been created solely out of racial hatred towards Tamils.
We can no longer afford to insult our heroic martyrs, who embrace death and are revered in the hearts of Tamils all over the world.
Therefore, I urge the Jaat movie crew to immediately remove the controversial scenes that misrepresent the Eelam liberation struggle.
I declare that the Tamil Nadu government should respect the sentiments of the people and ban the movie titled Jat immediately in Tamil Nadu, failing which the Naam Tamilar Katchi will launch a massive people’s protest and blockade the theaters.
