சுற்றறிக்கை: வேளச்சேரி ஏரி புனரமைப்புப் பணி – சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாசறை | நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி
நாம் தமிழர் கட்சியின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாசறை, 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான திட்டங்களில் ஒன்றான நீர்நிலைகள் புனரமைப்பை நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி – வேளச்சேரி சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதி உறவுகளுடன் இணைந்து முன்னெடுக்கவிருக்கிறது. இதன் முதற்கட்டமாக, வேளச்சேரி 100 அடி சாலை – வேளச்சேரி முதன்மைச் சாலைக்கு இடைப்பட்ட பகுதிக்குள் இருக்கும் ஏரியைப் புனரமைக்கும் பணியை 30 முதல் 50 பேர் கொண்ட குழு செய்யவிருக்கிறது.

Lake Clean-up, Velachery – NTK Environmental Wing
The reconstruction and maintenance of water resources, one of the main agendas of the Environmental Wing of the Naam Tamilar Katchi is to be initiated along with party members belonging to the Velachery legislative constituency.
The lake adjunct that has been chosen for cleaning is a part of the Velachery Lake and runs its course from the Velachery 100-feet road up until the Pallikaranai Marsh Land. This lake adjunct is closely surrounded by a residential zone with a sizeable population. The residential area does not have a proper sewage disposal system and this lake adjunct is where all the wastes are being drained out. Also, proper solid waste management does not exist in the locality.
This water body is a source of pollution in the area in terms of air and soil and as a result of sewage getting drained into the waters, there’s excessive growth of water hyacinth which is what helps keep the poisonous gas emission under control. Naam Thamizhar Katchi has planned to provide a series of solutions to protect the water system and also to help the residents acquire a cleaner atmosphere.
