இனப்படுகொலை குற்றத்திலிருந்து இலங்கையைக் காப்பாற்றும் வகையில், ஐ. நா. மனித உரிமைப் பேரவையில் ஆதரவான தீர்மானம் கொண்டுவருவதைப் பிரித்தானிய உள்ளிட்ட நாடுகள் கைவிடவேண்டுமென வலியுறுத்தி பிரித்தானியாவில் வசிக்கும் புலம் பெயர் ஈழத் தமிழரான அம்மையார் அம்பிகை அவர்கள் தொடர் உண்ணாநிலைப் போராட்டத்தைத் தனியொருவராகத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது உலகத்தார் கண் முன்னே பாரிய இழப்பைச் சந்தித்த பிறகும் தமிழினம் ஆதரவற்று தனித்து விடப்பட்டுள்ளதையே பெருவலியோடு உணர்த்துகிறது.
பத்தாண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக இனப்படுகொலைக்கு நீதிகேட்டுப் போராடும் தமிழினத்திற்கு மாபெரும் துரோகத்தைப் புரியும் வகையில் ஐநா மனித உரிமைப் பேரவையில் இனப்படுகொலை செய்த இலங்கையைக் காப்பாற்ற மீண்டும் உள்நாட்டிலேயே நீதி விசாரணையைச் செய்து கொள்ளலாம் என்று பிரிட்டன் தலைமையிலான உலக நாடுகள் தீர்மானம் கொண்டுவரவுள்ள செய்தி உலகத் தமிழர்களிடையே பேரதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. அறத்தின் பக்கம் நின்று நீதியைப் பெற்றுத்தரவேண்டிய நாடுகள், இனப்படுகொலை குற்றவாளிகளையே விசாரிக்கக் கோருவது எவ்வகையில் நியாயமாகும்?
ஏற்கனவே கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளில் இலங்கை பேரினவாத அரசிடம் உள்நாட்டு விசாரணை ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டு அதில் அணுவளவு முன்னேற்றமும் ஏற்படவில்லை என்பதோடு, தமிழர்கள் மீதான ஒடுக்குமுறைகளும், இனவெறி தாக்குதல்களும் நாளுக்குநாள் அதிகரித்து வருகின்றன. மீண்டும் இனப்படுகொலையாளன் ராஜபக்சே தலைமையிலான அரசாங்கம் அமைந்தவுடன் சிங்கள பேரினவாத செயல்முறைகள் உச்சத்தை அடைந்துள்ளன. இதை நன்கு உணர்ந்த பிறகே, இலங்கை அரசின் இனவெறிச் செயல்பாடுகளை மிக விரிவாகப் பட்டியலிட்டு இலங்கை மீது பன்னாட்டு நீதி விசாரணை நடத்த உலக நாடுகள் முன்வரவேண்டும் என்று ஐநா மனித உரிமை பேரவையே கோரியிருந்தது. ஐ. நா. மனித உரிமை பேரவை முன்னாள் ஆணையர் நவநீதம் பிள்ளை அவர்களும் இலங்கை மீதான உலக நாடுகள் பார்வை இனியாவது மாற வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்தி இருந்தார். ஆனால் அவற்றைப் புறந்தள்ளி மீண்டும் இலங்கைக்கு ஆதரவாக விசாரணைக் காலத்தை நீட்டித்துக் கொடுத்து, உள்நாட்டிலேயே விசாரணை நடத்திக்கொள்ளவும் அனுமதி வழங்கும் வகையில் உலக நாடுகள் தீர்மானம் கொண்டுவருவது தமிழ் மக்களுக்குக் கிடைக்க வேண்டிய நீதியை முற்று முழுதாக நீர்த்துப் போகச்செய்யும் நடவடிக்கையே ஆகும். இதனால் ஐநா மனித உரிமை பேரவை அறிக்கைக்குப் பிறகு மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையுடன் இனப்படுகொலைக்கு இனியாவது உரிய விசாரணை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு நீதி கிடைக்கும் என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்புடன் இருந்த தமிழர்கள் மிகப்பெரிய ஏமாற்றமும், வேதனையையும் அடைந்துள்ளனர்.
நம்பிக்கைத் துரோகத்தால் வீழ்ந்த தமிழினம் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் வஞ்சிக்கப்படும் வேதனையைத் தாளாது அம்மையார் அம்பிகை அவர்கள் தன்னுயிரைப் பொருட்படுத்தாது தனியொரு பெண்மணியாகத் தீரத்துடன் முன்னெடுத்துள்ள போராட்டத்தை எண்ணி உள்ளம் பெருமிதம் கொண்டாலும், கடந்தகாலக் கசப்பான அனுபவங்கள் கற்றுத்தந்த பாடங்கள் இப்படியொரு கடினமான முடிவை அம்மையார் எடுத்திருக்க வேண்டாம் என்று எண்ணத் தோன்றுகிறது. இதைப்போன்றதொரு அறப்போராட்டத்தில்தான் அண்ணன் திலீபனையும், அன்னை பூபதி அவர்களையும் நாம் இழந்தோம். ஆகவே அம்பிகை அம்மையார் தம்முடைய போராட்ட வடிவத்தை மாற்றவேண்டும் என்று அன்போடு கோருகிறேன். இனப்படுகொலைக்கு நீதியைப் பெறவேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில் அம்மையார் அம்பிகை முன்னெடுக்கும் அறப்போராட்டத்திற்கு உலகெங்கும் வாழும் தமிழர்கள் ஆதரவு கொடுத்து, இனத்திற்கான கோரிக்கைகள் வெல்லத் துணைநிற்க வேண்டுமென்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

Support Ambika’s Moral Struggle, Who urges World Nations Not to Support the UNHRC Resolution that Tends to Safeguards Sri Lanka from Genocidal Crimes!
Ambika, an Eezham Thamizh living in Britain, has begun a voluntary fast unto death protest, urging countries, including Britain, not to support the UNHRC resolution that tends to safeguards Sri Lanka from genocidal crimes.
The news that the British-led international community will call for a domestic trial to save Sri Lanka, which committed genocidal crimes, is shocking to Thamizhs around the world, as a great betrayal of Thamizhs who have been fighting for justice for more than a decade. In what sense is it justifiable for nations to stand up for justice and seek justice for the perpetrators of the genocide?
Already in the last decade, the Sri Lankan chauvinist government has handed over an internal investigation that has made no progress and the oppression and racist attacks on Thamizhs are increasing day by day. Sinhala chauvinist activities have reached the maximum with the return of the perpetrator of genocide, the Rajapaksa-led government. Realizing this, the UN Human Rights Council called on the world nations to come forward with a comprehensive list of the racist activities of the Sri Lankan government and call for an international judicial inquiry into Sri Lanka. Referring to the civilian killings in 2009, the Former UN officials, including Navaneetham Pillai, Former High Commissioner, and international experts called for immediate action in their joint statement stating that “In 2009 the international community failed Sri Lanka. We must not fail again”. But the decision of the world community to dismiss them and stand in favor of Sri Lanka again and allow to continue Sri Lanka’s internal investigation process is a move that will completely dilute the rightful justice to the Thamizh people. As a result, Thamizhs have been deeply disappointed and saddened by the UN Human Rights Council report, who had hoped for a fair trial for genocide and justice.
Despite the Thamizhs have been constantly deceived by the world community and with the pain of being betrayed again and again, Ambika, an Eezham Thamizh, has voluntarily started a fast unto death protest hoping that Thamizh race will get justice. It seems like she does not think about the lessons learned from the bitter experiences of the past, yet the current situation has made her take such a difficult decision. We lost our brother Dileep and Annai Bhupathi in a similar moral struggle. Hence, I hereby ask Ambika with love and affection to change her form of struggle. I urge Thamizhs around the world to support Ambika’s struggle for justice for the Thamizhs and to ensure that the demands of the Thamizh race are met.
