அண்மையில் வெளியாகியிருக்கும் கிங்டம் திரைப்படத்தில் ஈழச்சொந்தங்களைக் குற்றப்பரம்பரைபோல, மிகத் தவறாகச் சித்தரிக்கும் வகையிலான காட்சியமைப்புகள் இடம்பெற்றிருக்கிற செய்தியறிந்து அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தேன். கருத்துச்சுதந்திரம் எனும் பெயரில், தமிழ்த்தேசிய இனத்தின் வரலாற்றை எப்படி வேண்டுமானாலும் திரித்து, தவறாகச் சித்தரிக்கலாம் என எண்ணுவதை ஒருநாளும் அனுமதிக்க முடியாது. ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் மலையகத்தமிழர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்களென அத்திரைப்படத்தில் காட்டப்படுவது வரலாற்றுத்திரிபு; மிகப்பெரும் மோசடித்தனம். வரலாற்றில் ஒருநாளும் நடந்திராத ஒன்றை நடந்ததாகக் காட்டி, ஈழச்சொந்தங்களை மிக மோசமாகச் சித்தரிக்கும் இப்போக்கு கடும் கண்டனத்திற்குரியது.
தமிழ்த்தேசிய இனத்தின் ஆன்ம விருப்பமான தமிழீழச் சோசலிசக் குடியரசை அடைவதற்கு இரத்தம் சிந்தி, உடல் உறுப்புகளைச் சிதையக் கொடுத்து, உயிரை விலையாகக் கொடுத்து, உயிரீந்த மாவீரர்களின் ஒப்பற்ற வீரவரலாறே தமிழீழ விடுதலைப் போராட்டமாகும். உலகின் எந்த இயக்கத்தினுடைய விடுதலைப் போராட்டத்திலும் இல்லாத வகையில் கண்ணியத்தையும், ஒழுக்கத்தையும், அறநெறியையும் பின்பற்றி, போரியல் விதிகளையும், மாண்புகளையும் கடைப்பிடித்து, மரபுப்போர் புரிந்தவர்கள் தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள். போர் முடியும் கடைசித் தருவாயில்கூட, பழிவாங்கும் நோக்கோடு, சிங்கள மக்களை அழிக்க முற்படாது, அவர்களது குடியிருப்புகள் மீது தாக்குதல் நிகழ்த்த முனையாது, இறுதிவரை அறம்சார்ந்து நின்ற வீரமறவர்கள் விடுதலைப்புலிகள். சிங்கள இராணுவமானது, தமிழர்களது குடியிருப்புகள், வழிபாட்டுத்தலங்கள், மருத்துவமனைகள், பள்ளிக்கூடங்கள் என தமிழ் மக்கள் வாழ்விடங்களின் மீது வான்வழித்தாக்குதல் தொடுத்தது; தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட நச்சுக்குண்டுகளையும், கொத்துக் குண்டுகளையும் வீசி, தமிழின மக்களைப் பச்சைப்படுகொலை செய்தது. பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான தமிழ்ப்பெண்களைப் பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைக்கு உள்ளாக்கி, தமிழர் நிலங்களை அபகரித்து, தமிழர் தேசத்தை சுடுகாடாக்கி, இனவெறியின் கோரத்தாண்டவத்தைக் கட்டவிழ்த்துவிட்டது சிங்கள அரசு. எவ்விதப் போர் நெறிமுறையையும் பின்பற்றாது, இனஅழிப்பு நோக்கில் செய்யப்பட்ட அத்தாக்குதல்களின் மூலம், ஏறக்குறைய 2 இலட்சம் மக்களை மொத்தமாய் கொன்றுகுவித்தது சிங்கள இனவாத அரசும், அதன் இராணுவமும்.
ஈழப்போர் முடிந்து 15 ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்தும், தமிழினத்தின் கோர இனப்படுகொலைக்கு இதுவரை நீதி கிடைக்கவில்லை. ஐ.நா. மன்றமும், சர்வதேச அரங்கும் தமிழர்களுக்கு எவ்விதத் தீர்வையும் பெற்றுத் தர முன்வரவில்லை. இனப்படுகொலை செய்திட்ட சிங்கள ஆட்சியாளர்கள் மீது தலையீடற்ற பன்னாட்டு போர்க்குற்ற விசாரணை நடத்தக்கோரியும், ஈழச்சொந்தங்களிடம் தனிநாடாகப் பிரிந்து செல்வதற்கான ஒரு பொதுவாக்கெடுப்பை நடத்தக் கோரியுமாக பன்னாட்டு மன்றத்தில் நீதிகேட்டு, தமிழின மக்கள் இன்றளவும் போராடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். எம்மினத்துக்கு இழைக்கப்பட்ட கொடும் அநீதியை, எம்மினத்தின் இனப்படுகொலையை உலகரங்கில் எடுத்துரைத்து, எமது தரப்பு நியாயங்களை மற்ற தேசிய இனங்களுக்கு மெல்ல மெல்லக் கடத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கும் இவ்வேளையில், எம்மினத்தின் மாண்பையும், ஈழச்சொந்தங்களின் வலியையும் இழிவுப்படுத்தும் வகையிலான காட்சிகளைக் கொண்டுள்ள கிங்டம் திரைப்படத்தை தமிழ் மண்ணில் ஒருபோதும் ஏற்க முடியாது. தமிழ்த்தேசியத் தலைவர் மேதகு வே.பிரபாகரன் அவர்களையும், மாவீரர் தெய்வங்களான விடுதலைப்புலிகளையும், எம்மினத்தின் வீரம்செறிந்த விடுதலைப்போராட்டத்தையும், எங்கள் தொப்புள்கொடி உறவுகளான ஈழச்சொந்தங்களையும் கொச்சைப்படுத்தும் எதுவொன்றையும் ஒருநாளும் சகித்துக் கொள்ள முடியாது.
ஆகவே, ஈழச்சொந்தங்களை இழிவுப்படுத்தும் வகையில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட கிங்டம் திரைப்படத்தை தமிழர்களின் உணர்வுகளுக்கு மதிப்பளிக்கும்வகையில் தமிழ்நாட்டின் திரையரங்குகளில் திரையிடுவதை முற்றாக நிறுத்த வேண்டுமென நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி சார்பாக வலியுறுத்துகிறேன். அதனைச் செய்யத் தவறும்பட்சத்தில், திரையரங்குகளை முற்றுகையிட்டு, அத்திரைப்படத்தைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்துவோமென எச்சரிக்கிறேன்.

Stop Screening of the Film ‘Kingdom,’ which Insults Eelam Tamils!
I was deeply shocked to learn that the recently released movie Kingdom includes scenes that portray Eelam Tamils in a highly negative and criminal light. Under the guise of “freedom of expression,” no one can be allowed to distort or misrepresent the history of the Tamil national race. The portrayal in the film that Eelam Tamils oppressed Hill Country Tamils is a gross historical distortion and a serious act of deception. Depicting something that never happened as if it were fact — and portraying Eelam Tamils in such a derogatory manner — is completely unacceptable.
The #TamilEelam liberation struggle is the unparalleled heroic history of martyrs who sacrificed life itself to achieve the noble aspiration of a Tamil Eelam Socialist Republic. The LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam), unlike any other liberation movement in the world, waged a disciplined and principled struggle guided by dignity, ethics, and humanitarian war codes. Even in the final phase of the war, they did not act with revenge or target Sinhala civilians or their settlements. They remained committed to righteousness till the end.
By contrast, the Sinhala military relentlessly bombed Tamil civilian homes, places of worship, hospitals, and schools, violating every war convention. They used banned chemical and cluster bombs, committed mass sexual violence against Tamil women, seized Tamil lands, turned Tamil territory into cremation grounds, and unleashed genocidal terror. The Sinhala state and military, without following any rules of war, brutally massacred nearly 200,000 Tamils in a genocidal onslaught.
Even 15 years after the end of the Eelam war, justice has not been served for the atrocities committed against the Tamil people. The United Nations and the international community have not delivered any resolution. Tamil people are still fighting to bring attention to the genocide, demanding international war crimes investigations against Sinhala rulers and calling for a referendum to decide on forming a separate nation.
At a time when we are raising global awareness of the unspeakable injustice and genocide committed against our race, and when we are carefully communicating our legitimate stand to other national races of the world, we cannot accept a film like Kingdom, which contains scenes that demean the dignity of our people and the pain of Eelam Tamils.
Any depiction that insults the greatness of our national leader Hon. Velupillai Prabhakaran, our sacred martyrs of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, our valiant liberation struggle, and our umbilical kin — the Eelam Tamils — will never be tolerated.
Therefore, on behalf of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, I strongly urge that the film Kingdom, which degrades the Eelam Tamils, be completely withdrawn from screening in Tamil Nadu in respect of Tamil sentiments. Failing which, we warn that we will lay siege to theatres and stop the screening of the film.
