வழக்கொழிந்துபோன, யாருமே பேசாத, யாருக்கும் தாய்மொழியாக இல்லாத சமஸ்கிருதத்தைத் திணிக்க முயல்வதை மத்திய அரசு உடனடியாக நிறுத்த வேண்டும் – சீமான் வலியுறுத்தல்

தமிழில் ஒளிபரப்பாகும் தொலைக்காட்சி அலைவரிசையான பொதிகை உட்பட நாடெங்கிலுமுள்ள அனைத்து மாநில மொழிகளின் தொலைக்காட்சி அலைவரிசைகளிலும், ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் சமஸ்கிருத செய்தித் தொகுப்பை ஒளிபரப்ப வேண்டுமென்று மத்திய அரசு சுற்றறிக்கை அனுப்பியிருப்பது அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கிறது. இது மத்திய அரசு மேற்கொள்ளும் வடமொழி மேலாதிக்கத் திணிப்பின் மற்றுமொரு வடிவமேயாகும்.

தொலைக்காட்சி என்பது மக்களுக்கு அறிவூட்டி, களிப்பூட்டும் நவீன அறிவியல் சாதனம். அதனை மக்களோடு செய்திப்பரிமாற்றத்திற்கான ஊடகமாகப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்கு மாறாக, புரியாத ஒரு மொழியை வலிந்து திணித்து மக்களை வதைப்பதென்பது வன்மையான கண்டனத்திற்குரியது. ஒவ்வொரு தேசிய இனத்தின் மொழி,  கலை, பண்பாடு, இலக்கியம், வரலாறு போன்றவற்றை வெளிக்கொணர்ந்து போற்றும் வகையிலேயே அரசின் சார்பாக ஒவ்வொரு மாநில மொழியிலும் தனித்தனி தொலைக்காட்சி அலைவரிசைகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. தற்போது அதிலும் அம்மொழி சார்ந்த நிகழ்ச்சிகளைக் குறைத்துவிட்டு அந்நிய மொழியாதிக்கத்தை  செலுத்துவதென்பது இந்திய ஒன்றியத்தின் ஒற்றுமைக்கும், பன்முகத்தன்மைக்கும் முற்றிலும் முரணானது. அம்மாநில இறையாண்மைக்கு எதிரானது.

இந்தி பேசாத மாநிலங்களில் பள்ளிகள் வாயிலாகவும், ஊடகங்கள் வாயிலாகவும், அரச நிர்வாகத்தின் மூலமாகவும் இந்தி மொழி திணிக்கப்படுவதற்கே கடுமையான எதிர்ப்புகள் உள்ளபோது, எவரது விருப்பத்திற்காகவோ வழக்கொழிந்துபோன யாருமே பேசாத யாருக்கும் தாய்மொழியாக இல்லாத  மொழியான சமஸ்கிருத மொழியில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள்  தொலைக்காட்சி வாயிலாகத் திணிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்தியாவின் கோடிக்கணக்கான மக்கள் பேசும் இதர தேசிய இனங்களின் மொழிகளுக்கு அளிக்கப்படாத முன்னுரிமையும், முக்கியத்துவமும், அவர்களின் வரிப்பணத்திலிருந்து வெறும் 15,000 மக்கள் மட்டுமே பேசக்கூடிய மிகச் சிறுபான்மையினரின் மொழிக்கு அளிக்க வேண்டிய தேவை  என்ன வந்தது?

மத்தியில் மோடி தலைமையிலான பாஜக அரசு அமைந்ததிலிருந்தே தொடர்ச்சியாகப் பல்வேறு வழிகளில் இந்தி மற்றும் சமஸ்கிருத மொழிகளைத் திணிக்கும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருவதும், அதற்குத் தமிழர்கள் கடுமையான எதிப்பினைப் பதிவு செய்து வருவதும் அண்மைக்காலத்தில் வாடிக்கையான நிகழ்வுகளில் ஒன்றாகிவிட்டது. மும்மொழிக் கொள்கையை மறைமுகமாகத் தமிழகத்தில் திணிக்க முயல்வது, இந்தி நாள் மற்றும் சமஸ்கிருத வாரம் கொண்டாடக் கட்டாயப்படுத்துவது, செம்மொழிகள் வளர்ச்சிக்கான நிதியில் மற்ற மொழிகளைக் காட்டிலும் சமஸ்கிருதத்திற்கு 20 மடங்கு அதிகமான நிதியினை ஒதுக்கீடு செய்வது, மத்திய அரசு அதிகாரிகள் மூலம் மொழித்திணிப்பையும், இன விரோதத்தையும் தமிழர்கள் மீது வெளிப்படுத்துவது, தமிழக நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுக்கும், அதிகாரிகளுக்கும் இந்தி மொழியில் கடிதம் அனுப்புவது, தமிழ்நாட்டிலுள்ள கேந்திரிய வித்யாலயா பள்ளிகளில் படிக்கும் தமிழ் குழந்தைகள் தாய்மொழியான தமிழைக் கற்பதற்குக் கடுமையான நிபந்தனைகளை விதிப்பது  என நாளுக்கு நாள் மத்திய அரசின் மொழித்திணிப்புச் செயல்கள் தொடர்ந்து அதிகரித்த வண்ணமே உள்ளது. அந்த வரிசையில் தற்போது தொலைக்காட்சி வாயிலாகவும் வடமொழி திணிப்பைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது மத்தியில் ஆளும் பாஜக அரசு. இவை யாவும் இதர தேசிய இனங்களின் மொழியைச் சிதைத்தழித்து, பண்பாட்டைச் சிதைத்து, இந்திய நாட்டை ஆரியமயமாக்கும் மத்திய அரசின் பண்பாட்டுத் தாக்குதலின்றி வேறில்லை.

ஆகவே, தேசிய இனங்களின்  உரிமையைப் பறிக்கும் வகையில்,    மக்களின் விருப்பத்திற்கு மாறாக  மாநில மொழி தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் சமஸ்கிருதச் செய்திகளை ஒளிபரப்பக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தும் மொழித்திணிப்பு நடவடிக்கையை உடனடியாகக் கைவிட வேண்டும் என நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி சார்பாக மத்திய அரசை வலியுறுத்துகிறேன்.

Stop Imposing Outdated, Unspoken, and Non-Native Sanskrit! – Seeman Urges the Union Government!

It is deplorable that the Union Government has issued a circular, directing to telecast news segments in Sanskrit language every day, on all state language television channels across the country, including the Tamil TV Channel “Pothigai”. This is another form of Northern-language domination, imposed by the Union Government.

Television is a modern scientific device that enlightens and entertains people. Rather than utilizing it as a medium of communication, the Union Government has decided to use it to advance the imposition of Sanskrit, an almost obsolete language within the Indian Union. This is highly condemnable.
Native language TV channels were launched in Indian States, to celebrate and admire various languages, art, culture, literature, and history of every linguistic nation forming the Indian Union. At present, Sanskrit imposition via TV channels undermines the unity in diversity, a core principle of the Indian Union. To reduce the number of regional linguistic programs and to pave way for the domination of foreign languages is considered an attack against the sovereignty of member States.

While there is strong opposition to the imposition of the Hindi language in schools, in the media, and at the state administration level in the non-Hindi speaking states, we need to know the motives behind imposing an obsolete language such as Sanskrit, a language that is not native to India. What is the need to provide utmost priority and unjustified importance to a language, spoken by just over 15,000 people, when languages of millions of native people are neither given such importance nor priority? Why is taxpayers’ money spent on such matters of trivial importance?

Since the formation of the Modi-led BJP union government, it has become a regular occurrence in recent times that Hindi and Sanskrit are imposed on Thamizhs in several ways. The Union Government routinely faces strong opposition. Attempts to implement a trilingual policy in Thamizh Nadu, to force the celebration of Hindi Day and Sanskrit Week, to allocate twenty times more funds to Sanskrit than other language for the development of classical languages, to exhibit language hatred and racism against Thamizhs ​​by the Union Government officials, and to write letters in Hindi to Tamil Nadu MPs and officials are to name a few.

The Union Government’s language-imposing activities continue to increase day by day as Thamizh children studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Thamizh Nadu are being subjected to strict restrictions to learning their mother tongue Thamizh. In that line of thought, the ruling BJP government has now started imposition of Northern languages through television as well. All this is nothing but cultural onslaught on indigenous languages by the Union Government. This has the potential to eradicate languages and cultures of other national races. Aryanizing of the Indian Union will never be accepted by Thamizhs and the like-minded linguistic groups.

Therefore, on behalf of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, I urge the Union Government to immediately abandon the plans to telecast news in Sanskrit language. This is against the will of the people. Linguistic rights of people shall be preserved at all cost!
